Association for Social Cooperatives continues the activity initiated by Association “Our Home”. In March 2005, by the decision of General Meeting, Association “Our Home” changed its name to Association for Social Cooperatives. Main objective of the Association is to support the formation process of social cooperatives in Poland.
Main task of the Association is assistance in establishing of social cooperatives, especially regarding formal and legal issues, as well as creating conditions for their business activity. The social cooperatives supported by the Association take advantage of advisory services regarding their current activity. The Association will create conductive conditions for the exchange of information between social cooperatives themselves and between social cooperatives and other business entities. The experience of existing organizations will be presented to those interested in establishing social cooperatives as well as to public opinion through conferences, publications, traditional and electronic media.
In 2006, the Association was entered by Voivodeship Labour Office into:
a) training institutions register as reference no 2.30/00145/2006,
b) register of employment agencies as reference no 3073/1a.
