Cooperation offer

Objectives of Association for Social Cooperatives are to promote the idea of social entrepreneurship, including social cooperatives, through assistance in establishing new and supporting the existing social cooperatives, as well as educational, training and informative activity in favour of local society, especially the unemployed, NGOs, entrepreneurs and national and local government representatives.
Information and advisory

For the past 3 years we have been rendering informative and advisory services for those planning to establish social cooperatives and those already working in their own social enterprises. Our services include assistance in:
a) preparation of the documentation required in the registration process,
b) obtaining financial resources for commencement of business activity.
In the current year, under the project “Social Economy in Practice”, we have established the Social Economy Center – an institution aiming to help the unemployed, especially through training and supporting social cooperatives initiative groups, preparing them for the registration process, assistance in management, winning the contracts, functioning on the market and cooperation and exchange of experience with other social economy entities. Considering our experience in the field of establishing social cooperatives and participation in the works of parliamentary and senate committees on social cooperatives act we also consult representatives of labour offices and social welfare centres about legal and formal issues regarding social cooperatives and financial assistance for the unemployed establishing social cooperatives.

Education

We have prepared training programme relating to establishing and functioning of social cooperatives. The programme is intended for the unemployed willing to establish social cooperatives, representatives of NGOs and other institutions supporting the unemployed. The issues covered by the training include:
a) the idea of social entrepreneurship,
b) specific character of work with the unemployed and excluded persons,
c) social reintegration aspects vs. social entrepreneurship,
d) legal basis of social entrepreneurship,
e) procedures and documentation related to the establishment of social cooperatives,
f) sources of financing for social cooperatives,
g) practical aspects of social cooperatives activity,
h) cooperation with local government administration; performance of duties within the scope of government administration,
i) state aid and public procurement,
j) support and advisory for social cooperatives.


Sharing “good practices”

NGOs and local government administration representatives, initiative groups and other interested groups are welcome to visit social cooperatives and meet those who have established one of the first social enterprises in Poland. We ensure professional personnel experienced in the field of: social economy including social entrepreneurship; law; accounting; cost estimation; business management; cooperation with public administration in order to perform duties within the scope of government administration; preparation and implementation of projects; psychology; insurance. We will prepare a separate offer for each organization and institution, taking into account their individual needs, technical and organizational conditions and financial capacity.
